Police withdrew charges against an Eldred man who was charged with failure to comply with registration of sexual offenders last week when he went to PSP Coudersport to verify his Megan's Law registration information.
Michael Joseph Lisek, 39, of 508 Barden Brook Road, Eldred, PA, was charged by Trooper Chad Savannah and arraigned before District Judge Annette Easton who released him on $15,000. unsecured bail.
Trooper Savannah said it was determined that Lisek failed to provide a change in vehicle information relative to several vehicles in which he has been operating. He failed to provide this updated information within the 3 day time frame required by the new Megan's Law requirements which went into effect on 12/20/2012. He was charged with one count of Failure to comply.
Court records show police withdrew charges on February 19, 2013.

To all you NON sex offenders. Do you know that you have 15 days from the time you move to notify Harrisburg of your new address for yours.
(Some of you welfare fly-by-nighters would be notifing Harrisburgevery other week.)
