Eldred Teen Unhurt In Crash On Indian Creek Road

An Eldred teenager was unhurt Tuesday morning at 8:02 AM when his 1999 Dodge Durango slid off the Indian Creek Road in Eldred Township road and sheared off a telephone pole at ground level.

Dakota J. Vaughn, 17, of Eldred, PA, was traveling eastbound  on Indian Creek Road negotiating a slight left curve when his vehicle traveled off the right shoulder of the roadway. Vaughn made an abrupt swerve to the left, causing the vehicle to begon fishtailing and lost control. The vehicle traveled off the right shoulder a second time and impacted a Bell Atlantic utility pole with it's left side, shearing it off at ground level. The vehicle continued across both driveways at 219 Indian Creek Road and through the front yard of the residence before coming to rest. Vaughn was wearing a seat belt and was not injured according to Trooper Andrew Brothers who investigated.

Vaughn was cited for Driving On Roadways Laned For Traffic. Eldred Township Fire Department assisted at the scene.
