EMS Responder Died In Crash Answering Call

EMS attendant died in crash while on call

By Myles Snyder
LEWISTOWN, Pa. (WHTM) -

An EMS attendant responding to a call in his personal vehicle died in a single-vehicle crash Tuesday night in Juniata County.

State police in Lewistown said 30-year-old Wesley Hostetter was driving a 2000 Pontiac Grand Am that struck a utility pole and overturned along Route 75 in Tuscarora Township just after 8 p.m.

Hostetter, of Port Royal, was the only occupant of the Pontiac and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police, who said speed appeared to be a factor in the crash.

Juniata County 911 dispatchers said Hostetter was affiliated with Lack Tuscarora EMS in East Waterford, one of the companies that responded to his accident.
