James L. Weaver, 81, of 186 East Main Street, Bradford,PA formerly of Rochester, NY

James L. Weaver, 81, of 186 East Main Street, Bradford, formerly of Rochester, passed away Saturday, February 16, 2013, at the The Pavilion at BRMC.

Born September 29, 1931 in Bradford, he was a son of the late James F. and Anna L. (Kline) Weaver. He was a 1949 graduate of Bradford High School.

He enlisted in the United States Army, served in Korea and was honorably discharged.

He was formerly married to Leslie M. (Daugherty) Weaver who survives.

He was employed at General Motors Corporation at the Delco Plant in Rochester for 33 years.

Surviving is one daughter, Cindy (Scott) Rinfrette, of Limestone, two sons James (Carrie) Weaver, of Bradford, Phillip (Anna) Weaver, of Bradford, nine sisters, Ethel Gould, of Bradford, Pearl Sloan, of Bradford, Norma Lee, of Bradford, Shirley (William) Confer, of Jamestown, Mary Jane (William) Buchanan, of Jacksonville, NC, Delsie Wingard, of Warren, Helen (Glenn) Miller, of Lewis Run, Linda (James) Barrett, of Lewis Run, and Martha Bailey, of Derrick City, 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, one grandson Adam L. Miller, one sister Aletta Buchanan, and one brother Jacob Weaver.

Family will receive friends Tuesday February 19, 2013 from 2-4pm & 6-8pm in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc. East Main St., where funeral and committal services will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 with Rev. Robert Brest , Pastor of the First Free Methodist Church officiating. Military Honors will be accorded after the service in the funeral home. Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park.

Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, or a charity of the donor's choice.
