John A."Moustache" Plivelic, 88, of Port Vue formerly of Austin, PA

John A."Moustache" Plivelic, 88, of Port Vue formerly of Austin, PA, passed away on Sunday, February 17, 2013 at his home. 

He was a retired shipper for the former Continental Can Company in West Mifflin, where he was employed for twenty-five years and a lifetime member of McKeesport Gun Club. 

Born June 1, 1924 in McKeesport, he was a son of the late Philip and Anna (Turkovic) Plivelic. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn K. (Zamberlan) Plivelic, whom he married on March 17, 1984; daughter, Veronica Hauber of Austin, PA; sons, Patrick (Brandi) Stevens of Emporium and Dana (Wendy) Stevens of Coudersport; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; sisters, Sr. Helen Plivelic of Kingston, MA and Mary Horniscar of Port Vue; brother, Mark Plivelic of Indiana, PA; aunt, Rose Wesolowski of Glassport; nieces and nephews. 

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by sisters, Barbara Petro and Rose Oprendek. 

Friends will be received in the Daniel F. Bekavac Funeral Home and Crematory, Versailles on Tuesday, February 19th from 2-8PM. A service will take place on Wednesday at 10AM in the funeral home, with his cousin, Rev. Susan Ferraro officiating. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Port Vue.
