Kyle Bova wins second D9 title and also earned his 100th career win in finals.
Kyle Bova won his 2nd D9 title at 152# s this weekend. Kyle came into the tournament with a 30-0 record and started off the first day with a fall in 1:35 over Andrew Swartwood of Kane in the pigtails. In the quarters he had a fall in: 38 seconds over Michael Popson of Ridgway and in the semis he had a tech fall 19-4 in 2:39. In the finals Kyle met up with Sam Colbert from Oswayo Valley for the 3rd time this season and defeated him 4-1.Cody Bova makes runner up at 138#s this weekend. Cody came into the tournament with a 22-5 record and off the first day with a 11-3 win over Paul Zacherl from cranberry in the pigtails. In the quarters he had a 4-0 win over Jacob Troutman from clarion and in the semis he had a 5-1 victory over Darren brown from Kane. In the finals Cody met up with last year’s 7th place state finisher Brock Zacherl from Brookville and lost by tech fall 20-4.
