Mary L. Hayden, 59, of 1040 W. Washington St., Bradford, PA, lost her courageous, three year battle with pancreatic cancer on Tuesday, February 19, 2013, surrounded by her loving family, at the Bradford Regional Medical Center.

Born in Hoersel, Belgium on March 31, 1953, she was a daughter of the late Gennaro and Adriana (Miles) Lombardi. She migrated to the United States in 1958.

On April 6, 1974 in St. Bernard Church she married Timothy A. Hayden who survives.

She was a 1971 graduate of Bradford High School. She had been employed as a clerk for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation for 32 years retiring in 2004. She was a member of St. Bernard Church and volunteered for the Big Brothers & Big Sisters organization.

Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her loving family, especially taking her grandchildren to Disney World. She loved going to the beach, shopping, and walking.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two children, a daughter, Erica (Jamie) Ferdarko, of Treasure Lake, and a son, Edward (Naoma) Hayden, of Bradford, a sister, Fannie (Jake) Linaberger, of Cave Creek, AZ, and a brother, John (Josephine) Lombardi, of Easton, four grandchildren: Hayden Ferdarko, Olivia Ferdarko, Bryce Hayden and Reese Hayden, and several nieces and nephews.

Family will be receiving friends on Friday, February 22, 2013 from 3-5pm & 7-9pm in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc., 33 South Ave. where a prayer service will be held at 9:30am on Saturday, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Bernard Church, with Rev.
