PITT-BRADFORD TO OFFER TWO CONTINUING EDUCATION COURSES FOR SPORTSMEN

PITT-BRADFORD TO OFFER TWO CONTINUING EDUCATION COURSES FOR SPORTSMEN

BRADFORD, Pa. – The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford will offer two courses next month for area sportsmen.

“Spring Gobbler Hunting A to Z with Quaker Boy’s Dick Anderson” was rescheduled from Feb. 23 to March 2 from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. in Room 162 of Swarts Hall on campus. “Walleye Fishing 101 with Doug Yohe and Charlie Brant” will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. March 6 in Rice Auditorium in Fisher Hall.

The cost of each program, both of which are being offered by the university’s Division of Continuing Education and Regional Development, is $30.

Anderson is a Quaker Boy-sponsored national turkey call champion and Pennsylvania native who has been hunting the woods for 31 years. During the turkey hunting seminar, he will cover everything turkey hunters need to know, including the most effective ways to locate birds and how to use and call birds using boxes, slate and mouth calls.

Yohe and Brant are Zippo/Case-sponsored champion walleye fishermen. Last year they won the Cabela’s Master Walleye Circuit Qualifier in Isle, Minn.

This seminar will cover how to fish for walleyes on the Kinzua Reservoir during all times of the year. The fishing partners will cover types of rods, lines and various presentations, including trolling, jigging and using live and artificial baits.
