Radioactivity of shale waste not tested by DEP?

Radioactivity of shale waste not tested by DEP?

“When Shale Reporter earlier asked if the state measured fracking wastewater for radioactivity, the DEP replied: “There is no concerted effort that our Radiation Protection Program is aware of concern measuring radium concentrations or activities in brine.”

This is one (major) reason why any community slated for production or processing of wastes should be concerned…above quote from a great series by reporter Rachel Morgan.

The only ones that are not concerned are the ones making money. They are also the ones voting on the fracking water treatment plant in Ulysses Township.
The Ulysses township supervisor chairman is set to vote on the fracking treatment water plant Feb. 13th. at the township meeting. He also is the one that sold the land to his son that is directly related to the company installing the plant. Another supervisor just happens to have a heavy equipment company that is set to profit from the installation. The third member is a puppet and will vote how he is told.
How do you think the vote will go??

Oughta be interesting. But here's the deal. Nobody cares till its too late. You elected your supervisors! Obviously they are trying to do things to benefit who? The citizens of ulysess? The rest of the county?? The residents downstream of the triple divide?? I can't believe anyone can think this could be beneficial to anybody other than the owner of the facility. Stop it before its too late.
