Born on May 23, 1949 in Olean, NY, she was a daughter of the late Donald E. and Beulah M. (O'Neil) Newton. She was a 1967 graduate of Bradford High School and a licensed beautician.
On December 14, 1968 at Evans Memorial United Methodist Church she married Thomas C. Rose who survives her.
She was a homemaker in her own home.
She was a member of the Jack & Jill Square Dance Club. She loved her cats, knitting and spending time on the computer with her Dystonia Friends.
Surviving are a daughter, Amanda Rose, of Lewis Run, two sons, John (Christine) Rose, Donald (Martha) Rose, both of Bradford, a brother, Neil (Susan) C. Newton, of Pearland, TX. one grandaughter, Katherine Rose, two step grandsons, Allan Kline, Nathan Kline and several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends from 10:00am to 11:00am, Monday, March 4, 2013 in the Bradford Alliance Church, at 11:00am funeral and committal services will be held with Rev. Kenneth Dunkerley pastor, officiating. Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc.
