Troopers Investigate Fatal Accident
On 02/20/13 Amity based New York State Police investigated a 2 car motor vehicle accident that occurred shortly after 3pm at the intersection of State Route 243 and County Route 23 in the Town of Rushford.
A vehicle operated by Betty Pollock, age 74 was traveling east on St Rt 243 and attempted a left turn onto CR 23. Pollocks's vehicle collided with a vehicle operated by Albert Holzborn, age 75, that was westbound on St Rt 243.
Mildred Holzborn, age 98, a passenger in Holzborn's vehicle was pronounced deceased at Jones Memorial Hospital. Pollock was transferred to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment, and all other involved parties were treated at Jones Memorial Hospital and released. The investigation is continuing.
