Then why didn't you report them?

Anonymous said...

Sure is, sick parents to do what they did!!!!!

Was reported ...we need to take a closer look @ the CYS process & people who are allowed to fly under the radar (not in public school system & no medical well visits). I hope more people find the courage to speak out against this, despite being told "we are looking into it" ( Thank you that did). These are upstanding/ trusted citizens. Sickens me to think about tears that were shed, kids being hungry, & the physical abuse these children had to endure. Karma is a B.... & fellow inmates don't take to kindly to crimes committed against children.

Did ...ask CYS.

It was reported!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

By blaming CYS you are taking the ownership out of the offence. It could be compared to blaming "the gun" for the crime. Not venturing in to the gun debate, just making a statement.

Don't be so ignorant to blame the investigators. They have to operate within jurisdictions of the law as well.

At the end of the day Kids suffered & CYS knew about it for a long time ...once again the jurisdictions/law needs to be evaluated.

This makes me sick!! And they think they are preaching the word of God? And Shame on CYS for taking however many years it took! I pray that these innocent children will be able to cope with this abuse and live a happy, healthy, long life.

People should not be so quick to blame CYS!!!! Those kids were not even adopted in the state of PA. People don't realize the difficult jobs CYS workers have to do. Obviously if they truly knew what was going on...they would have moved the children sooner......people should not be so quick to blame!!!!!

And to11:39.... How dare you say shame on CYS.....ever think about the tough job they have.....obviously if they knew what was going on they would have done something....usually when people have something negative to say about CYS that's because they have been involved

Do you know the whole story?

Please, feel sorry for people from CYS that are making the rules...never...how many nites do they go to bed hungry, beaten, or crying. Let's get to the real issue ... The process/ investigating/ length of time that elapses w/ reporting possible child abuse. How many injuries have to be sustained before something is done. I'm all for following policy & procedure, but we need to reevaluate them ..."Process improvement". The CYS staff are instrumental in these cases by following the policies, but these policies need to be adjusted. No one is personally blaming CYS staff, just the policies.

To the individual who said that home schooled children are, by the direction of your statement, are all abused and mistreated, you need a reality check pal. My kids are home schooled, as are 3 of my neighbors and 2 of my friends' children, and none of us abuse our kids. And how dare you demand our rights be violated by suggesting that the state/county just arbitrarily just come to our home for a supposed "wellness visit". That is a violation of fourth amendment rights. Noone needs to have a wellness visit just because YOU think they should. Only tie ANY kind of visit is needed, id if there is evidence of abuse, in the case of the article, it was more than apparent that one was needed as APPARENTLY several people have stated they turned these people in. No wonder people around the country are starting to think PA is a liberal state, because we seem to be getting more people like yourself who think just because others dont follow the norm and drink the kool aid that we need to be watched like we are some kind of terrorist. May time allow us to forget you were ever our countryman, this is America, not soviet Russia

The CYS was slaking in this case, but the so called Parents are to blame, they are the ones who committed the crime. The worst part of this is a child was abused and now will suffer with this the rest of their life, and there is no way to take it back. I think we as family, friends, neighbors, and church members should keep our eyes and ears open, so a child we might know does not have to endear this kind of tragedy in their live. And as for the so called parents they need to suffer the rest of their lives (in prison)!!!
