Dana C. Bailey, 66, of 71 West Warren Road, Bradford, PA

Dana C. Bailey, 66, of 71 West Warren Road, Bradford, PA passed away Monday, October 14, 2013 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Born September 13, 1947 in Bradford, he was a son of the late Norman C. and Margaret A. (Lupold) Bailey.

On November 14, 1964 in St. Bernard Church, he married Josephine M. (Turpin) Bailey, who survives.

He attended Bradford Schools.

He worked in the Bradford Oil Fields for over 40 years, retiring from Enervest in December of 2012. He was a member of St. Bernard Church. He enjoyed traveling, camping, gardening and spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife of 48 years, he is survived by nine children, David (Jill) Bailey, of Bradford Darrel (Sue) Bailey of Lewis Run, Doug (Jeanie) Bailey, of Custer City, Darren (Kari) Bailey of South Park, Dale (Tracy) Bailey of Garland, TX, Daniel (Stephanie) Bailey of Cleveland, OH, Jodi (James) Fulcher of Beaumont, TX, Josie Higbie of Lewis Run and Dana (Teresa) Bailey of Coudersport; 17 grandchildren; two sisters, Linda (Stanley) Rowe of Clymer and Gloria (Jack) Saulsgiver, of Nashville, TN; two brothers, Richard (Sandy) Bailey, of Jacksonville, FL and Dale (Chris) Bailey of Ft. Wayne, IN and several nieces and nephews. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Kibby and a brother, Donald Bailey.

There will be no public visitation. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM, Thursday, October 17, 2013 in St. Bernard Church with Rev. Raymond Gramata, Pastor as Celebrant. Memorial contributions can be made to The American Cancer Society, the McKean County SPCA or to the charity of the donor's choice.
