Coudersport Rabies Clinic – April 7, 2018. A Rabies Clinic will be held Saturday, April 7th from 1:00 to 4:00 pm at the Coudersport Fire Hall. All dogs, cats, and ferrets that are at least 12 weeks old can be vaccinated against the rabies virus. The first time a dog or cat receives a vaccine, it is good for one year. Each time after that, the vaccination is good for three years. Ferrets must be vaccinated annually. All animals attending the clinic must be on a leash or in a container. Cost is $5.00 per animal. The clinic is sponsored by Dr. Lindsay Schwartzmeyer of the Potter County Veterinary Clinic, LLC.

WELLSBORO—The 18th Annual Laurel Mountains Chapter of the Friends of the National Rifle Association Banquet is Thursday, Sept. 15 at 5 p.m. at the Youth Center Building at the Tioga County Fairgrounds at 2258 Charleston Road in Whitneyville, one-half mile off Route 6 midway between Mansfield and Wellsboro.

There will be live and silent auctions for firearms, wildlife art, jewelry, shooting accessories and NRA items. Among the firearms being chanced off is the Montana Rifle American Legends .300 Win Mag Rifle named the 2016 NRA Gun of the Year by the Friends of the NRA. Fifty percent of the proceeds will benefit Pennsylvania's youth shooting safety and education programs, including the Youth Hunter Education Challenge, 4-H shooting programs and Youth Field Days.

Dinner is being catered by the Cast and Crew Restaurant and will be served at 7 p.m.

Tickets for this event are $40 per person. Also available are Eagle packages that include both dinners and chances for exclusive firearm drawings.
