What? They never do answer phone calls in Coudersport!!!! Maybe if ya call during this time you can actually hear a live voice. Politics!

They have one person working in the office, who also represents Causer when he's unavailable for meetings or community events or whatever. So when she steps out of the office, guess what? No one's going to answer. Jeeze.

And you people that think the government spends too much, who do you think would pay for additional office help?

I don't think they need additional help, I wasn't saying that was the problem. The political aspects are in question. Why not just advertise that you will receive a recorded message, not a person, rather than not giving the impression that you are actually going to receive personal attention from a knowledgeable source, such as a politician or an assistant. With this office not being manned, why not tell us to go on line or submit a written request, rather than expect that some time assistance will be available at the local Level! The last thing we need is the expense of another employee, who either can't or won't respond to the phone, or isn't knowledgeable to the request made. Just be honest and inform us of the facts!

It IS manned, every week day, normal work hours. But when the one office person is on the phone, assisting someone in person or steps out for a meeting, then you'll probably get a voice mail. Most of the time though I'd assume you'd get her on the phone. Maybe you're just unlucky and calling at bad times? I would think they'd call back if you leave a message. Guess that's why they have these periodic office hour times though - so you can actually talk to Causer himself.

Shame on me for calling at bad times, and stepping out to phone!

Omfg I didn't mean it like that. Just was trying to explain why you might not get a person every time. Excuse me, though. Can't please everyone.

10.04 Thanks, I didn't know you were just being helpful. Thought it might be unkind.
