Chief 48 Phelps arrived on scene and and confirmed a split level SFD, working fire in the basement, and moderate smoke conditions on the first floor, and no one home.
Engine 48-1 Crew arrived shortly laying 800' Supply line, stretched 2 - 1 3/4 and went to work. Crews from Engine 48-2 and Rescue 48-8 assisted with attack and securing utilities while Truck 48-9 set up for ventilation.
Interior crews confirmed fire in basement and that they had under control within minutes,
Squad 3 - Port Allegany set up for RIT near command crews held to a first alarm.
Crews overhauled and secured area of origin, investigation determined the Cause of the fire was to be electrical in nature, caused approximately $1500-2000 in damage.
There was no one home at the time, fire was called in by a neighbor. There were also no injuries.
Assisted at the scene by CVAA, Cdspt Boro PD, Port Allegany Station 3.
