Gwendolyn Lee Boger, 49, of Warren, PA, and formerly of Santa Cruz, CA

Gwendolyn Lee Boger, 49, of Warren, PA, and formerly of Santa Cruz, CA, died Saturday morning, August 13, 2016 at Warren General Hospital after a courageous battle with Lung Cancer.

She was born September 20, 1966 in Philadelphia, PA. Gwen is the daughter of Barbara Elaine Luff Boger of Warren, PA, and the late Dr. William Lloyd Boger. She was a Warren area resident for 17 years, and after college located in California until June 1, 2016.

She was a 1984 graduate of Warren Area High School and attended Lesley College of Cambridge, Mass., and Mills College of Oakland, CA., where she studied in early childhood development. Gwen was employed with Pacific Elementary School in Davenport, CA., as a Children’s Music Teacher.

Gwen’s greatest dream in her life was to become a mother, she enjoyed spending time with her children and working with young children. She is remembered for being a strong willed person. She was active in a blogging group of mothers in California. She was a very accomplished piano player.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her two children Bethena and Ezra both of Davenport, CA., 2 Brothers – Dr. Paul Boger and wife, Vivien and Luke Boger and wife, Wendy all of Warren, PA, 1 Sister – Lorin Boger and her husband, John Kirk of Abbottstown, PA, Aunt Kathleen Luff of Ambler, PA, Uncle Emory Christopher of Warren, PA., Aunt and Uncle – Barbara and Ted Lesher of Palm Coast, FL, several cousins, nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her son, Elijah Boger, infant brother – Christian Boger and her grandparents.

A private memorial service will be conducted at the convenience of the family. 

The family suggest in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made through Hospice of Warren County, 1 Main Avenue, Warren, PA., 16365 or First Lutheran Church, 109 W. Third Avenue, Warren, PA. 16365.

She was so young, I can understand a family's pain, her children and extended family. I didn't know her or any of her family, but feel for them God bless you.
