Meeting Planned for McKean County Bridge Projects

Bridges to be replaced as part of Public-Private Partnership

Clearfield, PA – Plenary Walsh Keystone Partners (PWKP) invites the public to a pre-construction coordination meeting to view plans for two McKean County bridges that are scheduled to be replaced as part of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s (PennDOT) Rapid Bridge Replacement Project.

The bridges to be replaced, as well as meeting specifics, are:

Bridges: Route 1015 (Columbia Hill Road) bridge, spanning the North Branch of Cole Creek in Keating Township (JV-70)

Route 4011 (Sullivan Road) bridge, spanning Bennett Brook in Bradford Township (JV-73)
Location: Keating Township Building, 7160 Route 46 East Smethport, PA 16730

Date: Monday, August 22, 2016 from 3 to 5 P.M.

A presentation will be given at the start of the meeting. Following, representatives from Plenary Walsh Keystone Partners, the contractor for the P3 bridge program, will be available to discuss the projects with the public, public officials, and emergency service providers. Construction plans will be displayed for reference.

The bridge replacements are part of the Rapid Bridge Replacement Project, a public-private partnership (P3) between PennDOT and Plenary Walsh Keystone Partners (PWKP) under which PWKP will finance, design, replace and maintain the bridges for 25 years. The P3 approach allows PennDOT to replace the bridges more quickly, while achieving significant savings and minimizing impact on motorists.

Why would you have a meeting for a Bradford Township bridge held in East Smethport?
