New Dance Studio Coming to Port Allegany

Sandy said, “Lets continue our journey of the Dance World. Meet Brittany Thierman. I am thrilled that dance will continue in our little town. It is my honor to help with the transitioning phase and pleased to announce that I will be a part of it.”
There is a new dance studio coming to Port Allegany. this fall. Brittany (Stevens) Thierman is the current owner/ director of Neighborhood School of Dance in Olean, NY. Brittany has experience teaching tap, jazz, ballet, pointe, acro dance and modern. Brittany is Acrobatic Arts Certified, has attended the Dance Masters of America Teacher Training School as well as taking classes at studios in New York City, Toronto, ON, and Rome, Italy. Brittany will be teaching Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Pointe, Modern and Acro Dance for the 2016-2017 season at the Olean studio. She has been dancing at the Neighborhood School of Dance since she was in kindergarten.

The Neighborhood School of Dance has been a staple in Olean, NY for over 40 years. When children and adults come to class at The Neighborhood we encourage the students to venture into a new form of personal expression. “Find your Passion” is not just our slogan, but our goal for every dancer. We encourage all of our dancers to experience and enjoy the various types of dance as they develop the necessary skills to become a talented dancer. With quality training, exciting choreography, entertaining recitals and experienced teachers The Neighborhood School of Dance offers a fun, friendly atmosphere that any dancer would enjoy.

Brittany said “I’m very excited to be offering dances classes to students in the Port Allegany area. Dancing is my passion, which lead me to acquire the Neighborhood School of Dance in Olean, NY in 2013. We currently offer a variety of dance classes and are looking to begin in Port Allegany this September with Tap, Jazz, Ballet and possibly more. The location of our new studio in Port Allegany is 44 North Main Street.”

To register, dancers are encouraged to attend a Meet & Greet at The Town Square in Port Allegany from 6 - 8 p.m. on Wednesday, August 17th.
