September Events as the SW Smith Memorial Public Library in Port Allegany:

· Fall Story Hour Registration: Children birth to 5 years old and their adults are invited to attend Fall Story Hour at the S.W. Smith Memorial Public Library Wednesdays at 10am beginning October 5 through December 7, 2016. Story Hour library books must be checked out on an adult patron's library account. Registration is open now at the S.W. Smith Memorial Public Library and will close on October 1, 2016.

· 9/15 at 7pm Chosen: The Dangers of Child Sex Trafficking: Become informed about the very real dangers of Child Sex Trafficking. Hear the shocking true story of two All-American teenage girls tricked into trafficking. The 20-minute video is designed to equip preteens and teens to protect themselves and others from being trapped in the horrific and violent sex industry. The program is geared for children 13 and up. Any child younger than 13 must be accompanied by an adult. All adults are welcome. Hosting the presentation of Chosen are Ambassador of Hope, Megan Inghram and Kristin Zona, in conjunction with Shared Hope International.

· 9/17 at 11am Curious George Birthday Party: Curious George is turning 75 this year! Children ages birth-6 and their adults are invited to attend a birthday party for George. There will be crafts, snacks, and monkey business!

· 9/24 at 8am Annual Paws to Read Dog Walk: Take your dog for a routed walk to help buy new materials for the S.W. Smith Memorial Public Library. Registration forms are available at the S.W. Smith Memorial Public Library or at the Port Freeze. Participants should turn in their registration forms in by Wednesday September 21. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
