Call to Order: Stan Swank, President, at 12:13 p.m.
Speakers:
Joe Lashway from JVB gave an update on the recent merger of First National Bank of Port Allegany with Juniata Valley Bank of Mifflintown. The merger took place on December 1, 2015 and has been progressing steadily ever since. Joe, originally from Port Allegany, is a senior lending officer specializing in commercial lending and business development. He indicated that contrary to any rumors, there are no plans to consolidate any of the Northern Tier branches. Joe stated that even though the merger has been challenging because it represents change, one silver lining has been the influx of quality people who work for JVB to our area. Jerry Trout with JVB introduced himself, as well. Feel free to contact either Joe or Jerry if you have any questions or have any commercial banking/lending needs.

Susan Kefover, John Bry and David Cole from the Main Street Committee all spoke on how the Main Street Committee can be a support to Chamber members in attracting and retaining new businesses to help revitalize our downtown area. John and David showed some wonderful, informative multimedia presentations about Main Street programs, in general, and about Coudersport, specifically. Contact Susan Kefover if you would like a copy of either presentation- they are gems!
