Coudersport Public Library will host "Mountains, Madness, and Miracles - 4,000 Miles of Appalachian Trail Stories"

Coudersport Public Library will host "Mountains, Madness, and Miracles - 4,000 Miles of Appalachian Trail Stories" -- a discussion with Lauralee Bliss, on Saturday, Sept. 10 at 10:30 a.m.

All are invited to hear Lauralee, a hiker who has accomplished the famous Appalachian Trail not once but twice -- in each direction! An AT 4,000+ miler and ridgerunner for Shenandoah National Park, she will share stories and pictures from the 4,000 mile journey which she undertook northbound with her teen son and then southbound as a solo hiker.

This is a free program.

This presentation will inspire listeners to reach for their hiking dreams, whatever they might be. A book signing for "Mountains, Madness, Miracles - 4000 Miles Along the Appalachian Trail" will follow the discussion; copies will be available at the event.

For more information on Saturday's program, contact the Library at 274-9382. To learn more about Lauralee's adventures and advice for safe and fun hiking, visit Blissful Hiking http://www.blissfulhiking.com/
