Doris M. Bailey, 95, of, Smethport, PA died Monday (September 19, 2016) in the Sena Kean Manor, Smethport.

She was born Jan 12, 1921 in Smethport, a daughter of Oscar and Cora Lathrop Johnson, in Betula, PA, she married Glenn E Bailey, who died August 2, 1988.

Mrs. Bailey was a graduate of Otto High School.

Mrs. Bailey worked at the Munitions Plant in Eldred, PA during WWII and was a homemaker tending to the needs of her family. She also worked in the Deli Dept. for several markets including Costa's and the Market Basket in Smethport. She was a member of the Regular Baptist Church in Smethport.

She is survived by one son:

Robert (Marilyn) G. Bailey of Smethport, PA
one daughter: Barbara (John) Norman of Clearfield, PA
6 Grandchildren: Kevin (Laura) Bailey, Brian (Christy) Bailey, Matthew (Lesley) Bailey, Michael (Michelle) Norman, Melissa (Jason) Hey and Erin (Eric) Hershey.
13 Great Grandchildren; Jared, Micah, Ethan, Natalie, Isaac, Vincent, Clark, and William Bailey Kirstin and Ryan Norman, Leeland Hey and Aaden and Lily Hershey
one sister: Joan (Henry) Harvell of Smethport, PA
one brother: Paul (Wilda) Johnson of Turtlepoint, PA

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother Oscar Johnson, Jr. and two sisters Ruth Fair and Dorothy Burdick

Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc., 2 Bank St., Smethport, PA and Friday from 10 -11AM at Regular Baptist Church, Valley Rd, Smethport, PA

A funeral service will follow the Friday visitation at 11:00 am in the Regular Baptist Church, Smethport

With the Rev. Jack Gregg, Pastor officiating. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Smethport.
