Hebron Center Christian School will be hosting an “All You Can Eat Dinner” featuring Spaghetti & Meatballs or Chicken & Biscuits with a choice of vegetable and numerous choices of dessert…..It will be held at the Hebron Center Christian School in the gymnasium on Tuesday, April 25th, 2017……..Suggested Donations for the dinner are as follows: Seniors- $6.50, Adults and Youth 12-18- $8.00, Students Under 12- $6.00, Children 5 and under-FREE!........Family Rate-$25.00….. Time will be from 4:00-7:30 p.m. The Hebron Center Christian School students hosting this dinner will be attending the annual ACE International Student Convention at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP)……. ALL proceeds will benefit these students…………A bake sale will also be on the site.

Elsie V. Drake, age 97, formerly of Sabinsville, PA

Elsie V. Drake

Elsie V. Drake, age 97, formerly of Sabinsville, PA, passed away at Broad Acres Nursing Home on Friday, September 2, 2016.

She was born on August 27, 1919 in Pine City, NY., she was a daughter of the late George and Virginia (Koslak) Brewer Sr.

Elsie married the love of her life, Arthur A. Drake Sr. in 1941. The couple settled in Sabinsville, PA, where they raised their six children; Arthur (Sandy) Jr., Judy, Gail, Larry, Paul, and Mike.

She was a dedicated and hard worker; a homemaker and a former employee of Galeton Production.

Elsie was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother. She was very proud of her family and was excited to become a “Grandma” to her 11 grandchildren. Elsie looked forward to a good book, the holidays and family gatherings. She would spend hours cooking and baking.

Elsie was the devoted mother of Judith Beach, Addison, NY., Gail Short, Little Marsh, PA., Lawrence (Jacqueline) Drake, Galeton, PA., Paul Drake, Palm Springs, CA., and Michael Drake, Savona, NY. The loving Grandmother of Tony Beach, Savona, NY., Deborah Banik, Campbell, NY., Terry Drake, Wellsboro, PA., Todd (Darla) Drake, Reading, PA., Brittni (Clayton) Harding, Wilmington, NC., Angela (Charles) Harlow, Little Marsh PA., Kevin (Amanda) Robbins, Olean, NY., and Lisa Robbins, Vail CO. 

The Great Grandmother of Paige, Jordan and Haley Beach, Rob (Tammy) Banik, Ryan (Brooke) Banik, Riley Banik , Kaitlyn, Emileigh and Tanner Drake, Abygail Harlow, and Levi Carpenter. The Great Great Grandmother of Aspen Banik. 

Surviving are two siblings brother, George (Charlene) Brewer, Big River, CA., Sister, Irene Perry, Redland, CA. and several nieces, nephews and cousins. 

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Arthur A. Drake Sr., son Arthur A. Drake Jr., son-in-law, Ronald Short, sister, Margaret Bentley and great grandson Gavin Harlow.

Family and Friends will gather at the Kenyon Funeral Home, 222 W. Main St., Westfield, PA, on Tuesday, September 6 for Visitation from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. immediately followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Sabinsville Cemetery. 

The family ask that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the Galeton Library in Elsie’s honor. (kenyonfuneralhome.com)
