ERIE, Pa. -- The Catholic Diocese of Erie on Thursday made the third of three announcements outlining details of it final parish restructuring plan.
The final announcement came in the Eastern Vicariate, which includes Cameron, Clearfield, Elk, Jefferson, McKean and Potter counties. Details for the Northern Vicariate of Erie and Warren counties and part of Forest County were revealed Tuesday. The plan for the Western Vicariate of Crawford, Clarion, Mercer and Venango counties and the rest of Forest was released Wednesday.
Changes in the restructuring plan:
St. Joseph, Mount Jewett, will merge into St. Elizabeth of Hungary, Smethport, but become a secondary mission church with a weekend Mass.
Our Mother of Perpetual Help, Lewis Run, will merge into St. Francis of Assisi, Bradford, and become a secondary mission church. St. Francis will partner with St. Bernard of Clairvaux, Bradford.
St. Joseph, DuBois, will merge into St. Michael the Archangel, DuBois, instead of St. Catherine of Siena, DuBois. St. Michael will partner with St. Catherine. Read more...
