Oktoberfest: BACC 24th Annual Public Auction to be Held Thursday, October 13

Bradford Area Chamber of Commerce in conjunction with Signature Sponsor American Refining Group, Inc., will hold its 24th Annual Oktoberfest/ Annual Public Auction on Thursday, October 13 at the Bradford Club, 32 Boylston Street, Bradford. This community event, open to local businesses, organizations, and the public, is the Chamber’s primary fundraiser, with proceeds supporting the many services provided by the Chamber. The doors open to the public at 5:30 pm; with the live auction beginning at 6:30pm.

Through the continued generous donations of products, services, and more, an exciting variety of items will be put together for the event, which will feature approximately 30 fantastic live auction packages, as well as silent auctions, pretzel drawings, and a 50/50 playing card drawing. The live auction will be conducted by Lloyd Burkhouse of Lloyd Burkhouse Auctions as well as local celebrity auctioneer Tim Asinger of Kessel Construction. Included in this year’s festivities is a delicious menu of German and traditional fare suitable for the Oktoberfest theme, as well as complimentary seasonal lager, and a cash bar.

“We work with local businesses and community members to not only showcase their products, service and talents but also to help promote and support our business partners and the city of Bradford.” said Pamela Burlingame, Event Coordinator. “This is our one big fundraiser of the year and we are very fortunate that we have generous donors and patrons who continue to participate in Oktoberfest.”

Donations of items for the auction are still being collected, and any company, organization, artist, or other individual interested in donating items should contact the Chamber office. Co-chairs for this year’s event are Guy Signor and Ryan Race. The deadline for sponsorships has been extended until October 1 and monetary donations are greatly appreciated in any amount.

Admission to the event is $25.00 per person, with reservations required. For reservations contact the BACC Office at 814-368-7115 or email
