Bills, Sabres Tickets To Be Auctioned At Books Unlimited

Tickets are still available for Coudersport Public Library's Books Unlimited Gala, scheduled for Friday evening, Oct. 21, at the St. Eulalia Parish Center. The evening begins with an auction preview at 5:00 p.m., followed by heavy hors d'oeuvres, along with Bag, Silent and Verbal auctions.

A wide variety of merchandise and services will be auctioned off to the highest bidder. Among the highlights of this year's event are an antique "Possum Belly" breadmaking table, a country hutch, wooden wine rack, several quilts and afghans handcrafted by local artisans, and sports memorabilia. Two signed Buffalo Sabres jerseys and a signed Buffalo Bills jersey, complete with certificates of authenticity, will be auctioned off, as will tickets to the upcoming Bills vs. Steelers and Bills vs. Browns game, and two sets of four Buffalo Sabres tickets. Items are still being accepted to round out the auction lists.

"We're very happy with the wide variety of merchandise received this year, and we have some great gift certificates from local businesses and restaurants as well," remarked Teri McDowell, library director. "We're excited about our change of location and the generosity of St. Eulalia's in volunteering to help us with this event."

Books Unlimited is the Library's major annual fundraiser, accounting for a large percentage of the operating budget.

Tickets cost $30 each and are available at the Library. For more information, call the Library at 274-9382.
