Can you believe how fast the leaves have turned? It’s if God took his personal paint brush and dabbed all his favorite colors onto our hills. This is my favorite time of the year; I like the crispness of the air, the rustle of the leaves and the scurrying to get everything ready for winter.

At the School: The junior class is having a hoagie sale. 4th, 5th and 6th Grade Girls volleyball at the High School Gym 9:30-11:30 on Saturday October 8th. NO SCHOOL FOR STUDENTS MONDAY, OCTOBER 10, 2016 in remembrance of Columbus Day. School Board Meeting Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. There will be a Financial Aid Night MS/HS Library Wednesday, Oct. 12 at 6:00 p.m. T.R.A.C.K. Meeting 6:00 p.m. Thursday, October 13, 2016 MS/HS Library. This is late but I’d like to congratulate our Girls OV Volleyball Team for the outstanding job they have done this season awesome girls!!!

Phillip Freelove of Shinglehouse, PA graduated from basic training at Fort Leonardwood, Missouri on Thursday September 15th. He is a 2016 graduate of Oswayo Valley and the son of Gene and Charlene Freelove. We wish this young man much success in his future endeavors.

14th Annual Senior Forum October 7, 9:00-1:00 Roulette, Pa. It will be held in the Fire Hall, many vendors and programs will be present to provide information for area seniors.

The Fish Fries are happening at the Masonic Hall on Fridays from 4:00-7:00.

Women’s Prayer Breakfast at 9:00 a.m. Bell Run Union Church. Everyone is welcome.

Annual Harvest Dinner and Bazaar United Methodist Church, Shinglehouse, Pa. The Bazaar will be from 12:00-7:00 p.m. with dinner at 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. At the bazaar, crafts, homemade items and bake goods will be available, this supports local mission activities here in the valley. There will be a free will offering for the dinner.
