Learn to Knit!

Fall is here and the days are growing cooler. Before long, we will need to bundle up in hats, mittens and scarves to keep warm. Why not learn to knit your own scarf or perhaps make one as a gift? Instructor Doris Acre will show you how! As the owner of a yarn shop, she has enjoyed knitting her entire life and has taught many classes. In this 8-hour, 4-session class, you will learn the basics: Different yarns and their uses; What needles to use; How to choose and follow patterns, etc., and in the process, you will complete a winter scarf.

This class is being held Wednesdays, October 26 through November 16, 2016 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Education Council’s Coudersport office. The cost is $59 per participant; the yarn (your choice of color), knitting needles and scarf pattern are included. Registration is required. Space is limited, so register online at www.pottercountyedcouncil.org or call (814) 274-4877.
