Panthers Continue to Roll in AMCC Play

BUFFALO, N.Y. - The Pitt-Bradford volleyball team remained unbeaten in AMCC play Tuesday evening, defeating D’Youville 3-1 on the road.

Pitt-Bradford won by scores of 25-23, 25-13, 19-25, 25-12 to improve to 5-0 in league play with four conference matches remaining. It was only the third set the women have dropped in AMCC play.

The Panthers hit .250 as a team while limiting the Spartans to a .123 hitting clip. Christina Rauh matched her season-high with six service aces, part of 11 aces in all for the Blue and Gold.

Kirsten Platz led the attack with 11 kills, Rose Thacker was in double-digits with 10 and Sydney Shepherd totaled eight. In addition to her service game, Rauh posted a double-double of 42 assists and a team-high 10 digs. Brianna Majot, Alexis Dhayer and Meagan Welsh each had eight digs apiece. Four different Panthers recorded a block defensively.

The Panthers have won eight of their last nine contests overall and sport a 17-4 mark on the season.

Pitt-Bradford will have the weekend off to recoup and returns to action next Wednesday at Medaille.
