Wednesday Home Soccer Matches to be Played as Scheduled

BRADFORD, Pa. - Pitt-Bradford’s Wednesday home soccer matches versus Hilbert will be played as scheduled. The women will start at 2 p.m. and the men will begin at approximately 4:15 p.m.

A 12-inch water main blew out Monday morning at the Kessel Athletic Complex on campus, putting the games in doubt as workers scrambled to repair the break and restore water to an estimated 50 households. The break, which was discovered below the tennis courts, was fixed by early Monday evening.

Pitt-Bradford Athletic Director Bret Butler met with campus officials early Tuesday morning and determined the soccer fields were playable.

The women’s soccer team will seek its first conference win against the Hawks after settling for a pair of draws to start league play. The men are coming off a 3-1 victory over Pitt-Greensburg and face a Hilbert squad that is 0-3 so far in AMCC action.
