Hebron Center Christian School will be hosting an “All You Can Eat Dinner” featuring Spaghetti & Meatballs or Chicken & Biscuits with a choice of vegetable and numerous choices of dessert…..It will be held at the Hebron Center Christian School in the gymnasium on Tuesday, April 25th, 2017……..Suggested Donations for the dinner are as follows: Seniors- $6.50, Adults and Youth 12-18- $8.00, Students Under 12- $6.00, Children 5 and under-FREE!........Family Rate-$25.00….. Time will be from 4:00-7:30 p.m. The Hebron Center Christian School students hosting this dinner will be attending the annual ACE International Student Convention at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP)……. ALL proceeds will benefit these students…………A bake sale will also be on the site.

Bennie Francis Bates, 80, of Debary, FL died peacefully Friday, Nov 18th after a long illness.

Born in Little Genesee, NY on December 1, 1935 he was the son of the late Floyd and Virginia Bates.

Bennie graduated from Bolivar Central School in 1955 and worked in the oil fields before starting his career at Dresser-Rand retiring from after 35 years of service.

Bennie played many sports golf, darts, bowling, horseshoes and had a passion for shooting pool. 

He loved his cat Katie.

Surviving are his long-time partner, Peggy Whitaker; children, Wayne (Carla), Trevose, PA, Ronnie, Friendship, NY, Bonnie, Pasco, WA and Barry(June), Humble TX; sisters, Ruth Lawrence, Franklinville, NY and Fay Baldwin, Bolivar, NY; grandchildren Lindsey, Aaron and Benjamin and three great grandchildren.

Bennie was life time member of the Bolivar Fire Department and VFW post 2721 Cuba, NY and an active member of the Moose Lodge 655 and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 4526, DeBary Fl.

There will be a service planned at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Bolivar Volunteer Fire Department at 460 Main Street, Bolivar, NY 14715 or a charity of your choice.

The family would like to thank hospital staff for their exceptional care and compassion during his final days.
