In a real evacuation for an emergency for something serious like this it would be nice to see the factory workers safety taken seriously......

Its a good thing they mentioned that the command post was being set-up 'up wind' from the leak. I was immediately wondering about that.

They don't count silly. They're not real people, they're just numbers.

Maybe the last remaining plant in Port (area) should be closed and demolished like PC.

Then all you ball babies can bitch about that too.

Thank you to all involved with the response.

Good point Hillary, send our jobs to China. Blue collar lives matter!

They didn't evacuate because they said the wind wasn't blowing towards the plant, therefore there was no danger to the ones working at the plant. Also their safe zone when being evacuated is towards the area in which the leak was.

Shame on you so called adults the responders do their best, if you can do any different or better, get out there & do it, don't come on here & complain, get a life !!!!!!

Besides, there is an invisible forcefield around the plant anyway.

I'm not convinced there was any real responder bashing here. You appear to be confused. Are you okay?

8:29 our safe zone is a pine tree in the parking lot, I wouldn't call that a safe zone. There was a gas leak a couple of years ago, right there at the plant, all the stores in the area were closed, but not the plant, consider all the open flame in the plant. And the place didn't even tell the people there was a gas leak. We are just numbers or just part of the machines.

Considering the job security and wages the people at that plant have why do they whine? If they dont like it go get a dr slip to be off, thats the American way.

Why is it considered whining when you stand up for yourself or your rights? Maybe you figured out the "American Way"? Or I'm guessing, you are either on welfare or pissed because you don't work there perhaps? However, you're the only person whining right now. The proof is in your post. I'm just gonna keep my nose to the grindstone while you keep yours to the cheese line. Have a good day, I hope your hating pays big dividends.

Trust me the more people stand up for themselves (aka sueing the crap out of anyone that looks at them wrong) then less jobs youll have. Stop being a cry baby or quit...im sure there are plenty of people in the area who would do anything to have a job there. If the situation warranted a plant evacuation the fire department would have taken care of it.

Whatever happened in Port appeared to be dangerous. Sounds to me as though the responders did a very good job in taking care of the situation!!
Next, I do not live in port but I sensed a bit of animosity since factory workers were not evacuated. It sounded as though they felt they were not "important" enough?? Just guessing here.. Just want to say to all the factory workers ( I was one once for a short time to pay for college) YOU ARE IMPORTANT!! I have always said that without the factory workers, we would have NOTHING!! Just saying my thoughts is all!

10:57 you don't know what you are talking about when it comes to the plant. Unless you are one of bosses and are trying to make it sound good. There are dozens of examples I could use to prove it. Just because I have a job there doesn't mean I want to die there, just because the product comes first. It is not whining to care about your life.

Trust you? You must think highly of yourself to tell a stranger to trust you. Very confident, kinda like a sociopath I'm guessing.
