WOW! I really enjoyed Halloween the children were adorable and Daisy Mae sat on my lap to be petted and give out candy. I want to thank our police department and fire, ambulance and auxiliary for patrolling the streets for a safe night for everyone. Remember the set your clocks back Saturday night as we get an extra hour of sleep. I took a trip to Holland, NY., on Friday and the gold and rust leaves and limbs of dark brown made for a beautiful ride home.

Tuesday November 8: THEY ARE CLOSED, VOTING will be conducted in our building from 7 a.m. - 8 p.m. There are several polling places in the valley. GET OUT AND VOTE. Wednesday November 9 : Spaghetti & Meatballs: walking Club, Blood Pressure Checks w/ Becky Malone, RN, "World Kindness Day." ( I think we'll need it after the election......Friday Nov. 12 they will be honoring their Veterans at Sprague's in Portville, N.Y., beginning at 11:00 a.m.

Tuesday nights at the OV Senior Center the Grief Recovery Support Group meets at 7:00, from now until the first week of November. Beginning November 15th they will be offering a special group called: Surviving the Holidays. contact June Buchanan for more information at 697-6985.
TOYS FOR TOTS CONCERT Sunday November 6 at 6:30 p.m. It will be at the First Baptist Church in Shinglehouse on Academy Street. There will be many church choirs, special acts and local groups like the Matthews family, the Soundwaves, and the Community Choir is performing also. It should be a wonderful night of music to raise money for a great cause the Christmas House in Coudersport.
If you didn't notice the Cider Mill is changing their hours beginning Nov. 7 to 7:00 a.m to 6:30 p.m.
The Ministerium Luncheon is this Thursday at noon, Shinglehouse United Methodist Church. I went last month and enjoyed talking with folks I haven't seen all summer.

Saturday, November 12, 2016 from 10:00am - 3:00pm Wellness Seminar with Pastor Rovi. Tickets for this event are available at the Village, and not online. Because pastor Rovics is in the ministry work he wants to offer a free lunch to any pastor. During his preaching Pastor Rovics has noticed more and more people becoming sick, and his concern initiated him to do research on health. He had studied to be a veterinarian to help animals heal. Now he helps people heal. He will be sharing his experiences and thoughts from several decades of research and hands on experience. He has seen people heal from Cancer, Diabetes, Heart Disease, and Lyme's. He wants people to know their numbers (blood pressure, cholesterol, weight, PH, blood sugar, etc,) but then to see them in the big picture and how all the systems of the body are interconnected and work together for the whole body heal. Come out and join instructor Misty Reed every Tuesday from 5:00 - 6:00 at the G2 Gym (across from Shop and Save) for a fun workout designed to dance away calories.

Potter County Trail Busters Snowmobile Club next meeting is Sunday, November 13 at 5:00 p.m., at the Roadside Restaurant. They are holding a Gun Raffle for Ruger American .243 Caliber w/Scope. Contact me or a club member for tickets. Club members turn in your tickets at this meeting. Their fundraising goes to pay trail insurance for 148 miles of trails throughout the area.
