Corsica man found guilty, sentenced to nearly one-year in jail for neglect of 13 horses

This story breaks my heart, I just can't understand how anyone can be that cruel to innocent, helpless animals ! They need to shoot him in the head like the one horse was shot, how flippin crude & cruel can a person get, this is down right disgusting, those poor horses have feelings, this sickens me !!!!

I AGREE but I think he should be put in jail and not fed, just like he did to those horses.

he should have gotten one year per horse that he starved. they don't get that way overnight. in today's day and age with rescues, and help to feed your animals, there is not excuse for this. disgusting. I bet he didn't miss a meal. selfish, cruel, and evil lurks among gods creatures. karma needs to pay this person a visit.

Let's hope he is never allowed to own ANY animal again!

I pray this man is never allowed to ever have another animal of any kind. There is so much of this that goes on and it is never reported. We had neighbors that lived not far from us that had a beautiful pony and it kept running away and they kept taking it back. It was very skiddish about going with them every time they came after it. After they left we always wondered what had happened to him. Well we now know that he had gotten caught around a tree as they always had a drag rope hooked to his hauler. My son found what was left of the poor animal. The lead rope was still tied to the hauler that laid where the animal was caught. He had chewed all the bark off the tree where he was until there was no more he could chew and died there. It was just plain neglect and this pony could have been seen right from their house where it had gotten caught and nothing will ever be done to these people. It was just something for them to torture.

What kind of garbage would abuse or neglect animals, children, elders/disabled? It's happening all around us. Mckean Co has more than twice, the national average of child abuse reports. Wonder how much child abuse is not being reported? While, the reports of animal abuse are acted upon and animals rescued, most reports of severe child abuse/neglect are not. So when will Pennsylvania care as much about our kids as we do our animals?
