CURT WEINHOLD TO OFFER PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP AT CHERRY SPRINGS

COUDERSPORT PA—From 4:15-6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 26, Curt Weinhold, a Pennsylvania Wilds juried artisan, is offering a two-hour Nightscapes Photography Workshop at Cherry Springs State Park at 4639 Cherry Springs Road in Coudersport. The park is midway between Galeton and Coudersport.

Registered participants will meet at the visitor parking lot by the kiosk for the first portion of the program. The workshop will begin in the park but may require travel to two or more locations near the park so personal vehicles are required.

Weinhold will teach participants how to use the digital single-lens reflex camera and lenses they already own to photograph constellations and the Milky Way and how to add to a photo's composition by including trees or buildings in the foreground. This workshop is not for those who want to learn how to take photographs through a telescope.

To view samples of Weinhold's dark sky photography, visit http://pbase.com/cwphoto. For answers to questions about the workshop, email cwphoto@zitomedia.net.

Registrants are asked to bring their own DSLR camera and interchangeable lenses, a tripod, a fully charged camera battery, a spare fully charged camera battery if available, a memory card and a warm coat to wear.

This workshop will only be cancelled if there is a 100 percent chance of rain. If it is cloudy or overcast, it will not be cancelled.

Payment of the $35 fee by check or cash is due upon arrival at the program.

Register by 4 p.m. Tuesday Nov. 22 for the Nov. 26 workshop. Class size is limited to 10 participants.

Visit http://events.dcnr.pa.gov/ or call (814) 435-1037 or (814) 435-5010 to register.
