 WELLSBORO—The United Methodist Church of Wellsboro, located on the corner of Main and Queen streets, is hosting two different Dickens of a Christmas events.

Two-day indoor craft show
The Indoor Craft Show will be Friday, Dec. 2 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 3 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Church’s Epworth Hall. The entrance is off Queen Street at the rear of the church.

Featured will be works by 27 artists and craftsmen. Available will be wooden shelves, coasters and key holders, alpaca products, pottery dip chillers and dip mixes, polymer clay and wooden Christmas ornaments, custom-made lampshades, different types of jewelry from fused dichroic glass to beaded and embroidered, jewelry gems and fossils, machine embroidered gifts, handcrafted wooden snowmen and reindeer ornaments, measuring snow sticks, a variety of baskets, including ones that light, gift baskets, Santa hangings, Christmas trees, wreaths, arrangements cards and calendars, hand-painted, primitive folk art, watercolors, photographs, ceramics, handmade soaps and lotions, candles, including Smelly Jellies and Melties, loose leaf tea with tea pots, handmade fabric items, mittens, totes, wallets, dish cloths and hot pads, knitted scarves, maple and hickory syrup, honey, jams and chocolate candy.

Free Music, Refreshments
In the sanctuary, which can seat up to 250 people, organists, pianists, singers and other musicians will provide free entertainment between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Anyone who wishes to stop in is invited to sit for a while to enjoy live music in the sanctuary and refreshments in the rotunda, including munchies and hot beverages, such as hot cocoa and coffee. The refreshments and music are free. Among the musicians are the church’s Praise Team, Wellsboro High School Dickens Choir, Beauty Shop Four and More, the church’s Bell Choir, Vicki Bernard at the pipe organ, Wellsboro Women’s Chorus, vocalists Rachel Linscott at the piano and Brandon Lusk on guitar.
