Coudersport Rabies Clinic – April 7, 2018. A Rabies Clinic will be held Saturday, April 7th from 1:00 to 4:00 pm at the Coudersport Fire Hall. All dogs, cats, and ferrets that are at least 12 weeks old can be vaccinated against the rabies virus. The first time a dog or cat receives a vaccine, it is good for one year. Each time after that, the vaccination is good for three years. Ferrets must be vaccinated annually. All animals attending the clinic must be on a leash or in a container. Cost is $5.00 per animal. The clinic is sponsored by Dr. Lindsay Schwartzmeyer of the Potter County Veterinary Clinic, LLC.

WELLSBORO—On Saturday, Dec. 3, the Festival of Trees will open at the Wellsboro Plaza on Route 6 in Charleston Township, just outside of Wellsboro.

The holiday decorated trees will be in the hallway outside Goodwill at 80 Plaza Lane and be open free for viewing by the public from Saturday, Dec. 3 through Monday, Jan. 2. Hours will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday through Saturday and between noon and 5 p.m. on Sunday. On Christmas Eve, the Festival of Trees will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and closed on Christmas Day and New Year's Day.

Any civic, non-profit or school organization is welcome to participate in the Festival of Trees. There is no entry fee. Members of participating organizations are asked to decorate their trees on Thursday, Dec. 1 or Friday, Dec. 2 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Among those who will be decorating trees are: Haven, Scarlet Red Hats, the Wellsboro Business and Professional Women’s Club, Wellsboro Art Club and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4907 of Wellsboro.

There will also be an undecorated tree. Everyone is welcome to place an ornament on the tree any time between Dec. 3 and Friday, Dec. 23. This tree will be given to a family in need at noon on Christmas Eve. Anyone who knows of a family in need is asked to call Festival Coordinator Dawn Bell.
