Montoursville – Tomorrow, Wednesday, November 9, work to restore multiple roads damaged in the recent flash flooding in Sullivan and Lycoming counties will begin.
The contractor first will begin working on Route 4001 (Elk Creek Road) in Fox Township, Sullivan County. This work includes repairs to the roadway, shoulder and structures.

Traffic will be reduced to a single lane with flaggers providing traffic control. Work will be from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. during week days.
Other roads included in this project include Route 4008 in Elkland Township, Sullivan County, Route 4010 (Hoppestown Road) in Hillsgrove Township, Sullivan County, and Route 1013 (Ellenton Mountain Road) in McNett Township, Lycoming County.

This project is expected to be completed in mid-December, weather permitting.

Glenn O. Hawbaker Inc. is the prime contractor on the $334,000 project.
