Jerry J. “Cody” Codispoti, 87, of 59 Belmont St., Bolivar, NY

Jerry J. “Cody” Codispoti

Jerry J. “Cody” Codispoti, 87, of 59 Belmont St., Bolivar, NY,  passed away Sunday November 13, 2016 at Elderwood at Hornell Nursing Facility following a brief illness. 

Born August 31, 1929 in San Andria, Italy he was the son of Bruno and Catherine Saraco Codispoti. Jerry married Eva Pascucci on June 21, 1958 in Olean, Mrs. Codispoti preceded him in death on January 1, 1985. 

US Army Veteran
He was a graduate of the Bolivar Central School class of 1949. 

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. 

Jerry was employed as a foreman for the former Worthington Co., later Dresser Rand Company in Wellsville retiring on September 1, 1987. 

He was a member of St. Mary’s Church Bolivar, Life member of Kenyon Andrus Post 772 American Legion Bolivar, a member of over fifty years of the Bolivar Country Club, and was known near and far as an avid golfer. 

Surviving are two brothers, James (Lois) Codispoti of Rye N.Y. and Robert (Patricia) Codispoti, Almond N.Y. and several nieces and nephews and grandnieces and nephews. 

Friends may call at the Schaffner Funeral Home Inc., Bolivar on Thursday from 4-7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 19, 2016 at 11a.m. in St. Mary’s Church Bolivar. Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery Bolivar.

Memorials to St. Mary’s Church 111 Wellsville St. Bolivar N.Y. 14715 would be appreciated by the family.
