WELLSBORO—The Nessmuk Rod & Gun Club at 4646 Route 287, Delmar Township, three miles south of Wellsboro, is holding a running deer shoot from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 26. This hunting rifle event is open to club members and the public.

The fee is $2 per pass with a limit of two shots per pass.

The running deer paper target is fixed to a four-foot by three-foot wooden frame that is mounted on wheels on a cable. The target is pulled along the cable from the left to right at 100 yards from the shooting area. Only one shooter is allowed to be on the range per pass.

Sign-up is just before each round. The fee will be split with 50 percent going to the highest scoring shooter per round and the other 50 percent to the club.

To participate, safety gear, eye and ear protection are required.

For more information, call Ray Rowland at (607) 857-4631.

It's not even realistic. It should be a silhouette of a deers ass running away . Also shooters should be allowed to blast away until their gun is empty. And then not be expected to go and see if they hit the target.. That's more realistic.
