WELLSBORO—Friday, Dec. 9 from 4-7 p.m., Deane Little Beans Photos with Santa will be in the lobby at the Deane Center for the Performing Arts at 104 Main Street in Wellsboro. This event is free and open to children and their parents.

At 4 p.m., Santa Claus will arrive at the Deane Center aboard Tony's trolley. He will get on the trolley near Tops Friendly Markets at 11 Main Street for the ride up Main Street.

At the Deane Center, each child will visit with Santa, have his or her photo taken and be given a 4-by 6-inch color photograph free.

While the photos are being taken, children can enjoy snacks, make an ornament and a holiday craft with all supplies provided free, listen to Christmas stories read by Hamilton-Gibson's elder elves and participate in a Christmas carol sing-along led by Pat Davis of Wellsboro, piano accompanist for the Wellsboro Men's Chorus, and Julie Schlosser and Liz Carras, both of Arts for All in Mansfield. Coloring pages and supplies will be given to children who enter the coloring contest. Small, fun prizes will be awarded to the winners in several age categories. The winners will be announced at 7 p.m.

This Deane Little Beans program is sponsored by the Deane Center, Hamilton-Gibson Productions, the Fifth Season and Indigo Xtreme Internet.

Parents can register their children by calling 570-724-6910 or emailing or are welcome to stop in the night of the event any time between 4 and 7 p.m.
