First Presbyterian and Saint Paul’s Lutheran Church of Galeton

First Presbyterian and Saint Paul’s Lutheran Church of Galeton

Women’s Bible study group meets Wednesday, December 21st, at 3 pm at Saint Paul’s Lutheran church.

Everyone is welcome to a Christmas Eve Service of scripture, song, and candlelight Sunday, December 24th, at 7 pm at First Presbyterian church.

Pastor Tom spoke volumes about Jesus in his sermon, “Ordinary baby…but more!”

We approach Christmas to adore Jesus. Earth was born from the light and spark Jesus provided. He was an alternative to creation since the beginning.

Jesus holds all things together and he will continue to power creation until the trumpet sounds and earth is made bright by his splendor.

Pastor Tom said God has a plan, Jesus is the man!

Mary’s son Jesus grew up to be his intended plan, savior of the world. Behold the lamb who takes away the sin of the world! All the Old Testament and prophets are about him; he is the keeper of promises and son of God by the power of his resurrection.

On the night of his birth stars shone bright. He became the star upon resurrection, giving hope to all people. The dark side will not prevail. He is cosmic, drawing all people to himself. Let us thank God! The greatest gifts we can give to anyone are Jesus’ love and hope to share for all eternity.

Give the gift of Jesus at Christmas!

From our prayer of the day: Stir up your power, Lord Jesus, and take away the hindrance of our sins and make us ready for the celebration of your birth, that we may receive you in joy and serve you always, for you live and reign with the Father and the Holy Spirit, now and forever. Amen.
