Railroad Museum chief switches gears, takes reins at Hershey auto museum

Jeffrey E. Bliemeister believes much of human history can be told through the means by which people moved around.

“Transportation involves people,” he explains. “They rely on it. They take it to heart. People have car stories, bus stories. Why did they take a plane, or a train?

“It’s fascinating to me — I’ve been that way since I was a teenager.”

Bliemeister, who for the past two years has been site administrator of the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania in Strasburg, has taken the reins as executive director of the Antique Automobile Club of America Museum in Hershey.

He assumed his new role at the auto museum on Dec. 12.
"I’ve loved history since day one." - Jeffrey Bliemeister

He previously held leadership roles at the Pennsylvania Lumber Museum in Potter County, Renfrew Museum & Park in Waynesboro, Hyde Hall in Springfield, New York, and National Soccer Hall of Fame in Oneonta, New York. Read more....
