Ralph E. Burton
Ralph E. Burton of Cyclone, PA - Husband, father, grandfather (Pa), teacher and coach died suddenly on December 28th at Bradford Regional Medical Center at the age of 81.
He was born October 3rd, 1935 in Bradford to the late Kenneth and Martina Gibson Burton.
He went to Kane High School where he was a superior athlete in all sports and all seasons. He graduated from Clarion University in 1962 with his Bachelor’s degree in teaching.

His first job was as a bell hop at a local hotel and through his life he would work in a tannery, state parks as a forest ranger, the PA oil fields, a medic in the U.S. Air Force, and over 30 years as a High School teacher in Randolph, NY and Otto Eldred.
He was a coach of Cross Country, Track, Football, and Basketball while a teacher and outside of school he was a youth baseball coach, 4H leader and Special Olympics coach and leader.
He is survived by his loving wife Mary Anne Littlefield who he married on October 5th 1957. His family includes daughter Anita Campbell, son-in-law John Campbell of Bentleyville, PA and their children Jill and Ian. Eric Burton of Addison, NY, daughter in-law Kathy Burton and their children Kyle, Noah, Seth, Jonah and Selah. Pennsylvania Special Olympic hall a fame inductee George Burton of Cyclone and he was preceded to the grave by son Ray Pettilo.
Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Saturday, December 31, 2016 at 12:00 PM at the Mascho Funeral Home, Inc. with John Campbell, lay pastor of the Evangelical Church officiating.
Memorial contributions in his memory can be made to the McKean County Special Olympics, P.O. Box 101, Bradford, PA 16701
