Blossburg Dispatched For Land Rescue

At 11:09 AM on Saturday, Blossburg Fire Dept. has been dispatched to station for a land rescue.

On Saturday, January 14, 2017, Blossburg fire crews and an ambulance unit were dispatched for a reported land rescue shortly after 11:00AM.

Blossburg Fire Chief Shawn Carey confirmed to FNN that one individual was accidentally shot in the leg by another member of a hunting party late Saturday morning in Morris Run, PA.

Although Life Flight 4 was dispatched and had landed at the Island Park in Blossburg, the flight crew never got out, but instead took back off within a few minutes. 

Chief Carey assured FNN that it was decided that the victim of the hunting accident should be transported by ambulance to the Williamsport Hospital for treatment.

The victim arrived at the Williamsport Hospital around 12:30PM according to sources.
