Twelve male and four female performers ages 18 to 60 are needed for Hamilton-Gibson's production of "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest."

Not only is Director Gabe Hakvaag looking for actors but also an assistant director, stage manager and tech people. Anyone interested is also asked to attend the auditions to become familiar with the play, the process and the director.

Open auditions begin this Friday, Jan. 6 at 7 p.m. and continue at 2 p.m. this Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 7 and 8, and at 7 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 9. They will be at the Warehouse Theatre at 3 Central Avenue in Wellsboro.

"The characters in this play are multiethnic so African-American, Hispanic and Native American performers are also encouraged to audition," said Hakvaag.

During the auditions, actors will be asked to read a scene from the play. Those who want to prepare an audition monologue are asked to schedule a second audition in advance with Hamilton-Gibson by calling 570-724-2079.

The play takes place in a mental institution and contains some disturbing situations and strong language.

Performance dates are Friday, Saturday and Sunday, March 17, 18 and 19 and Friday and Saturday, March 24 and 25.

For tickets or information, call Hamilton Gibson Productions at 570-724-2079, email or visit

I wonder if Obama and Hillary will be there since they aren't working anymore? Perfect role for Hillary to be the evil nurse and Obama could be the Indian that everyone loved.

Just watch Trump and his billionaire friends for the real deal. No acting needed there.

I didn't know Obama ever did work.

I've heard from reliable sources that Obama had a habit of licking the windows on Air Force One and the presidential limousine (The Beast). That's why they tinted them dark so no one could see him. Nuff Sed
