A Pitt-Bradford student found with a large amount of marijuana in his dorm room told police he was selling the drug to get tuition money.
Court papers say 19-year-old Donald Albritton of Philadelphia was arrested Monday by University of Pittsburgh at Bradford Police after the marijuana packaged for sale was found in his room, along with a scale. Police searched the room after an RA reported that he smell marijuana coming from it. Officers found 20 small plastic baggies and several larger bags on the floor with suspected marijuana in them. Later, Albritton told police he had drugs in a strong box under his bed, where they found a large quantity of suspected marijuana.
Police also confiscated a BB-gun, which the university considers contraband.
Albritton was arraigned this morning by District Judge Rich Luther, and sent to McKean County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail. He's scheduled to be in Central Court on January 12.
