Potter McKean Little League Needs Your Help!!

The Potter McKean League consists of the Austin, Coudersport, Port Allegany and Shinglehouse Communities. We are responsible for providing and maintaining out Little League Charter so our youths have the opportunity to participate in the Post Season All Star Tournament each year. This charter also provides our kids with insurance, security in the form of back ground checks for volunteers and ensures our kids have safe facilities to play on.

The Potter McKean Little League Organization is looking for some community members to step up and help out. Right now our organization is in search of a new League President and is in desperate need for baseball and softball umpires at the 9-12 and 13-16 age groups. If you have some spare time and love to watch our local youth play baseball and softball, please consider helping us so we can continue to provide our young athletes with these opportunities.

For umpires we would like to strongly encourage College Students who may have played and benefited from our local organizations to consider stepping up and helping out. This is a chance to participate in our community set good examples to our youth. We will help provide any training you need and work with you to help you understand any rules you may not be familiar with.

As for our League President, these duties include guiding our 4 local communities and ensuring the local associations are abiding by all Little League Rules. There are 3 District meetings that are held each year (one in Jan/Feb, one in March/Apr, and one at the end of the year at the District President’s discretion.) Other responsibilities would include going and watching our kids play ball and have fun. Visiting with coaches, fans and of course the players to build a rapport with them.

If you are interested in helping out in any of these positions or have any further questions, please contact: Trevor Saulter 814-203-1430 or email: trevorsaulter@gmail.com

What about Roulette? We used to have a team, is it just lack of interest and low numbers that keep us from having a team?

Anonymous said...

Doesn't Roulette go in with Port ? I wish Austin would go in with Coudy all of the kids in Austin that play sports or would like to play are suffering because of the way the programs are run and not to mention the poor coaching and the coaches playing favorites . sad .

That happens everywhere, not just Austin...and it is very sad that this happens especially to the kids that do want to play......

Austin had the interest until the decent and fair coaches retired or moved on after several years of coaching. Then the whole concession stand and money debacle. sad

Ahh the concession stand yet another money maker for a certain few in Austin . There were no police reports because charges were never pressed . It is (rumored) and was later proven to be true that approx.($10,000.00) ten thousand dollars per year for about ten years was taken from the concession stand and the sports programs earnings. Just another of many scams that have screwed good hearted people out of their hard earned dollars in the Austin area so some individuals could line their pockets !!

WOW, THAT SHOULD'VE HAVE BEEN REPORTED TO YOUR STATE POLICE IF IT WERE PROVEN, THAT'S A CRIME, & PEOPLE SHOULD'VE BEEN PROSECUTED, WHAT A SHAME IF NOTHING WAS EVER DONE, I BELIEVE YOU HAVE 7 YRS TO FILE A COMPLAINT.......SAD, SAD, SAD...
