Trooper Landon E. Weaver

Trooper Landon E. Weaver, 23, Martinsburg, PA, was killed in the line of duty honorably serving the citizens of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Friday evening in Juniata Township, Huntingdon County.

He was born in Altoona, son of Eric E. and Christine L. (Lanzendorfer) Weaver. On June 4, 2016 he married Macy N. Gottshall at Zion Lutheran Church, Williamsburg.

Surviving are his beloved wife, Macy of Martinsburg; his parents of East Freedom; a brother, Larett E. at home; paternal grandparents: Merril E. Jr. and Christine D. Weaver of Roaring Spring; and many other family and friends that loved him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Becky N. Lanzendorfer.

Trooper Weaver attended Zion Lutheran Church, Williamsburg and enjoyed spending time with his family, and especially his wife, Macy. To Landon they were his entire world.

Landon was a 2012 graduate of Central High School, Martinsburg. Following high school he attended the Indiana University of Pennsylvania until his acceptance into the Pennsylvania State Police Academy in Hershey, where he enlisted on December 14, 2015. On June 17, 2016 he graduated from the State Police academy and was assigned to Troop G of the Pennsylvania State Police, Huntingdon Barracks where he proudly served and protected our Commonwealth.

UPDATE ON LOCATION OF SERVICES:
Friends will be received from 12- 3pm and 5-8pm, Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at the Blair County Convention Center, 1 Convention Center Dr., Altoona, PA 16602. 

A funeral service will be held at 11 am, Thursday, January 5, 2017 at the Blair County Convention Center, Rev. Jerry McCuller Jr. and Rev. Tiffany E. Marvich officiating. Interment with full honors accorded by the Pennsylvania State Police will be held at Fairview Cemetery, Martinsburg.

Memorial contributions in memory of Trooper Landon E. Weaver can be made to Troopers Helping Troopers, 3625 Vartan Way, Harrisburg, PA 17110.

Arrangements are by John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Martinsburg.
